Today on our 2017 Honda CR-V, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC2319. Today, we're working with tire size 238/60R18s 00:00:11. If these chains don't fit your particular tire size, double check the size then go to our website and find the proper fit. These are strong, durable chains made from a manganese nickel alloy that, thanks to the square link and diamond pattern design of the chains, provide excellent traction in both snow and ice. These are SAE class S chains meaning they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. This has a built-in tensioning system which makes it much easier to install, and also has a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour. Once you're finished using the chains, it does come with its own convenient carrying case so you can take the chains off, let them dry out and have them in the car ready for next time. Today on our 2012 Honda CRV we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Diagonal Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number TC343DC. These cable snow tire chains have these regular wires coupled with these rollers in a V pattern. It also comes with this rubber tensioner to ensure that it fits snugly around the tire once you have it installed. These provide excellent traction when in light snow or light ice. These meet all Department of Transportation requirements as well, and these are SAE Class S chains, meaning they work well with vehicles with limited wheel well clamps. When you're finished using them they also come with a convenient tote bag, so you can place them inside there, put them in the trunk of your car or SUV, and then you're ready to use them for the next time. On this 2006 Honda Odyssey, we're going to review and install the Titan Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number TC1042. Now the tire size we're working with today weigh 235 by 65 by 16. All right, this is what our snow chains and our rubber adjusters look like when it's installed on our Honda Odyssey. This is good for vehicles with limited clearance between the tire and the bodywork, and the tire and the suspension components behind it. If we take a look at this crossbar right here, this pattern is a ladder pattern, so the chain looks like a ladder when it's completely flat. These rollers can move around and dig into the ice and snow, and work with the tire as needed. Now these are a great snow chain to keep in the back of the vehicle to get yourself out of a jam. These are designed for heavy snow and ice use. These chains are also DOT approved. more

Titan Chain Diamond Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2006 Honda Odyssey

On this 2006 Honda Odyssey, we're going to review and do a test of a titan chain alloy snow tire chains. Part number, TC1555, and for reference, we're working with tire size today of 235 by 65 by 16. First of, go ahead and look at the chain that sits on top of the tire. This is a low-profile class S chain which is good for vehicles with limited clearance between the tire and the body-work and also suspension for the respondent tire. The pattern on the chain is a diamond pattern here, but you can see one part of the diamond right here, then there is a short space and then another diamond pattern below and has repeated all the way around the tire. This gives a little bit more smoother ride compared to a regular latter type of a snow chain. The links themselves have angles on them except for inaudible 00:00:55 rounded. That gives a little better grip into ice and snow. This also has a built-in tensioner with this shock cord right here. more

On this 2014 Honda CRV, we're going to show you a Glacier Chains Snow Cable Chains, part number PW2016C. On our CRV, we're working with a tire size of 215 by 70 by R16. First off, the construction of the crossbar here is built with a cable right here, on top it's got the rollers to dig into the ice and snow and work with the tire as needed to get traction. This is all cable design, which works with the specifications recommended in the owner's manual as well. This is a class S chain, so works great with vehicles with limited tire clearance between the tire and the bodywork and suspension components. It also has a built in tensioner right here to take up most of the slack on the outside. When you install it, this is front part. When you install it this always goes towards the front of the tire or the front of the vehicle. more

This is a good set of chains to keep in the back of your vehicle in the winter months. These are the light duty variety, these are great to have with you in case you get into jams, such as really icy conditions, if you got a really long hill, while your car is spinning, you can have this to help you get up the hill. Let's go ahead and put them on our tire, it's always a good idea to do this before you actually need them so you're familiar. Take a look at the crossbar, there's printing on the bottom where it says, "tire side," so you want this part sitting on the tire. Before you put it on the tire, on other thing to note is that these catches right here, always start off going towards the front of the vehicle. more

It's constructed with nice, case-hardened, low carbon steel, and the spring rollers are wrapped around a sturdy wire on the cross cables. As you can see, here's the rollers, and that's what actually grips into the snow and ice to give you traction. It's rolled on the outside, so the backside is smooth so it doesn't damage the sidewall of your tire. These are designed for vehicles with a little clearance fender wells. Our crosschain that goes across our tread tire is made of a low carbon steel, and it's in our d-link shape to provide superior traction on snow and ice. These are even applicable for off-road use. Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains Review - 2013 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2013 Honda CRV we'll be test fitting the Glacier square link snow tire chains, part number PWPLC1142 on 225/65/17 tires. Before we begin our test fit we'll lay the chains out flat on the ground and undo any kinks or tangles. We'll then slide the chains over the tires with the support hooks facing out so they're not digging into the tire. Now for the inner side of the tire we'll take the hook and link and clip those together. Now to the outside of the tire we'll secure it with the silver hook and clip. Once you connect it to a link that is within plus or minus one link of the one that was used on the inside. To release any slack on the chains you're going to want to drive a little bit and then double check to make sure you don't need to tighten your chains again. This is an SAE Class S chain and tensioners are recommended. more

Today on this Honda Odyssey, we're going to install part number TC1555, the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains with the Diamond Pattern. Let's put it over the top of the tire. We'll pull out the top part of the chain. It will connect yellow to yellow right here. Then we'll take the part with the yellow here, the cable, we'll push that towards the back side of the tire. These little, sharp bars here should be roughly over the center of the tire. At the bottom of the tire here, we'll pull out the rest of the components of our chain. more

This flag indicates what side of the vehicle the cable chains will need to be installed on, as well as the direction of travel that the chains will be moving in. We'll now drape the chains over the tire, making sure that the cross chains are centered with the tire tread. We'll bring them down around the tire, where we can then move to the inside of the tire and connect the side chain together. more

Today on our 2013 Honda Accord, we'll be test fitting the Glacier square link snow tire chains, part number PWPLC1138. We'll be test fitting these tire chains on tire size 205/65/16. To begin our test fit, we'll lay the chain flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This will ensure that the tire chain will fit correctly around the tire. Now for today's demonstration, our vehicle is on a lift to show you the connection points in a little bit more detail. We'll now drape the tire chains over the tire, making sure they are centered and the hooks are facing out so that we don't damage the outer wall of the tire. more

Today on this 2013 Honda Fit, were going to test fit a part number PW1026, the Glacier Cable Snow Chain. Now, were working with the tire size of 185/55-16. This is also the design for passenger vehicles with a limited wheel well clearance also known as SAE class S tire chains. To start of our test fit well go ahead and lay the snow chain on top of the tire. Now, when we do that we want to make sure that the hooks wrap around from the inside to the outside so the edge of the hook is not towards the tire. Okay, well lay it out as evenly as possible across the tire and then well tuck it in below at the bottom of the tire. more

These chains are directional and they are indicated with a yellow tag which side is left-hand side and which side is right-hand side. Today were starting on our passenger front. Make sure that the hooks are facing out so that they dont bite into the side walls of our tire. more

This is the side that should make contact with our tires. more

This vehicle is front wheel drive so we'll be test fitting the tire chains on the front tires. To begin our test fit we'll lay the chain flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. We'll drape the chain over the tire. Notice that the hooks are facing out of the tire and then we'll go ahead and drive over the tire chain so that the male and female ends of the tire chain are on top of the tire. We'll then connect the ends of the tire chain at the top of the tire. more

Today on our 2012 Honda Odyssey with tire size P235/60R18, we'll be installing Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1046. Now, these cable chains are perfect for the occasional use. They use a rugged steel wiring covered with case hardened steel rollers for traction. To begin the installation, we'll lay our chains out flat on the ground and make sure we get out any tangles that may be in the chains. We'll now lay our chains over the tire, making sure that the cross chains are centered on the tire tread. Now is a good time to check to make sure that you have your chain on correctly. more

Today on our 2011 Honda Fit with tire size 185-55-R16. Well be test fitting part number TH04335075. These are the Thule CV10 tire chains. To begin our installation well need to lay the chains out on the floor and get out any kinks that may be in the chain itself. Well then take the blue cable and slide it underneath from the rear behind the tire toward the front of the vehicle. With that done well grab both ends of the blue cable, bring them up around to the top of tire and connect it together. more

Today were working with a 2012 Honda Civic with 2055516 tires and were going to be test fitting the Glacier V Track Cable Snow Tire Chains part number PW1930V. When you go to install tire chains on your vehicle, be sure to check the owners manual that came with it regarding tire chains. Since our Civic is front wheel drive, we will be installing our chains on the front wheels. Before were ready to install the chains we need to turn our wheel all the way to the right so that we can access it easily on the inside. Next, well want to lay out the chain to determine proper orientation. One side of the chain is longer than the other. more

Now because of the lower clearance on our vehicle, we want to make sure that we use S class-approved tire chains. Make sure to check the owners manual that came with your vehicle for more information about tire chain use. Well be installing the tire chains on our front wheels as these are the drive wheels. Well set the tire chain over the tire and pull it around evenly on both the inboard and outboard side of the tire. more
